One of the most impressive of all Parisian monuments, this chap certainly had character, if his final resting place is anything to go by. But who is he?
I can tell you that he worked as a salesman at Le Bon Marché for a while, and was good friends with the founder of another of the great Parisian department stores, La Samaritaine.
But that's not why he became well known and wealthy. No. So, can anyone come up with any bright ideas this time? It seems that my Paris quizzes are proving to be rather tougher than I meant them to be. But I'm not going to go soft on you just to make it easy. No, it's up to you to have a go or even just say you haven't got a clue but that you're there and like the picture anyway! Saying hi and sharing a passion for Paris is the thing!
